Girona is one of the most emblematic and charming cities in Catalonia. The historic center of Girona, which undoubtedly includes its most emblematic monuments, has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Like all cities with a long history, there are many interesting places to visit, anecdotes to learn, and secrets to discover. With the Free Tour Girona, we explore these corners articulating the visit around three axes, the three peoples that have shaped this city: The Romans, who founded the city in the time of the Roman Republic. The Jews, who performed here the most relevant works of the Kabbalah. And the Carolingian Empire, which took control of the city to make it a frontier stronghold against the Arabs.

Plaça de Catalunya, 12, 17004 Girona
The meeting point is at Plaça de Catalunya, next to the 'La Gioconda' ice cream parlor. It's a two-minute walk from City Hall. It's right next to the Tourist Office. If you come by train or bus, it's about a 15-minute walk towards the river. If, on the other hand, you come by car, you can park at the same Plaça Catalunya in a paid parking lot. If you want to park for free, then you would have to move a little further away: to Parc de la Devesa.
